Lee Wen is best known for his socio-political perfomance, Yellow Man. A multi-disciplinary artist, Lee is recognized for delivering complex, layered works that deal with contemporary issues of society, politics, culture and identity.
In Lucid Dreams in the Reverie of the Real, Lee showcases the different facets of his stimulating unpredictability and monochromatic persona, covering a wide spectrum of roles through the nearly 40 original and reconstructed works. This visual art experience is nothing like your ordinary exhibition and we promise that all your senses will be challenged with each room you walk into.
The exhibition also includes a resource centre that house raw and unedited footage of Lee’s performances dating way back when in art events both in Singapore and overseas.
The Singapore Art Museum (SAM) is proud to present Lee Wen: Lucid Dreams in the Reverie of the Real, the first major solo exhibition by one of Singapore’s most internationally renowned artists, Lee Wen.
