Name: Tin Iglesias

Age: 21

Course: BS Clothing Technology, 3rd year

Describe your blog: My blog is a chronicle of my sense of style and my love for fashion and art. It was designed to inspire and uplift individuals, and it seeks to embody and embrace all that is fun and fashionable.

How did you come up with the name of your blogsite, Fashion Ate the World?

I named my blog Fashion Ate the World because I got inspired by Coco Chanel’s quote, “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street; fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” I basically live and breath fashion.

Craziest outfit: The craziest outfit that I have ever worn was a Kit Kat chocolate bar costume for our Halloween party back in high school. Haha! Also, my friends call me crazy every time I wear my 7-inch heels.

Stupidest trend: Baggy pants or clothes that are falling off

Style Icon: I like Anna Dello Russo, Agyness Deyn, Kate Lanphear, Erin Wasson, Kate Moss, and the Olsen twins, to name a few. I admire their ability to mix opulence with edge.

Source of inspiration: I draw inspiration from everywhere! I find inspiration from certain designer collections, on the street, fashion blogs and magazines, photos of architecture and nature, among others.

Dream day job other than being a Fashion Blogger: My ultimate ambition is to be a highly-respected fashion designer and stylist worldwide.

Advice for aspiring Fashion Bloggers: A fashion blogger must have persistence, personality, talent, and the desire to learn. Most bloggers are still finding their own niche and personal style, hence they are constantly experimenting with their choice of clothes. But once you’ve found your own style, I think it’s better if you stick to your guns; that way, people will remember or recognize you more.Fashion is an extended part of one’s personality, so your outfits should reflect your taste, aesthetic, personal thoughts and your mood. Always be innovative!
